A: Applications for admission to CMS may be submitted at any time. Upon completion of the application process, if an opening exists in the appropriate classroom, arrangements will be made for final classroom visits and attendance will begin.
Q: What steps are required to apply for admission to CMS?
A: Admission to CMS requires the following steps:
Parents are invited to attend an Open House or make an appointment for a tour and to observe the program. (For information regarding school visits, please contact our Admissions Office at (813) 886-2050.)
After visiting, application forms are provided which must be returned accompanied by a $50.00, non-refundable application fee.
An appointment will be made for the student to visit the school and meet with a teacher in the classroom.
Families will be notified of the admissions decision in a timely fashion.
Upon acceptance, additional enrollment materials will be provided including Policy and Procedure information, Financial Contracts, Personal Contact and Health information, etc. Note: Children cannot begin school unless all state forms are completed and returned to the school office. Medical records verifying immunization MUST be completed before attendance begins.
Upon receipt of a $500.00 deposit, a space is reserved for the student.
Q: Is there a waiting list?
A: Enrollment varies from class to class and from year to year. If the desired program is full at the time of application, your name will be placed on a waiting list, and you will be contacted when the appropriate opening arises.
Q: Will my deposit be deducted from the total tuition?
A: The deposit is applied to the total tuition. We offer many options for paying the remainder of the school year tuition.
Q: Are there other payments that are required for admission?
A: Other than the deposit to hold your child's place for the new school year, a materials fee based on the level the student will attend and a one-time, "New Family Fee" of $200.00 are required.
Q: What is the annual tuition at Community Montessori School?
A: Because we offer a variety of programs and enrichment activities, there isn't a straightforward answer to this question...the cost for every family is based on the programs that they choose. For a complete listing of fees, please contact the Admissions Office, (813) 886-2050.
Q: Is financial aid available?
A: CMS has no formal provisions for financial aid at this time.
Q: Once a student enrolls, is he or she automatically enrolled for future years?
A: Every student's progress is carefully monitored at all times at Community Montessori School. Invitations to re-enroll are offered toward the end of the school year to families whose students are currently enrolled in one of our environment.
