Field Trips

Field trips are a significant part of the CMS Upper Elementary experience! Upper Elementary students  participate in many local field trips during the school year and at the end of the year the class attends a special 3 day/night out of town trip. During the three-year period, our students participate in a Florida History field trip to St. Augustine, attend marine biology Sea Camp in the Florida Keys, and Space Camp trip at the Kennedy Space Center.

The students participate in a variety of fundraisers throughout the year and have always succeeded in raising most of the monies required for the yearly field trips, thus minimizing the parent contribution. These trips are an important part of our students’ experience at CMS and are a great bonding experience for the class. They provide memories that last a lifetime — just ask some of our Alumni!
